Laura Burgos became the new Pan American champion last weekend during the Pan American Championships with a valiant defeat over Canadian opponent Julian McDermott (Canada).
Laura Burgos, the Pride of Mexico represented her federation which is fully recognised by the National Olympic Committee and Sports Ministry. The Mexican federation hosted the IFMA World Championships in 2018 in Cancun which remains one of the landmark championships in IFMA’s rich history.
Over the last few years, Laura has become one of the most prolific fighters in the world. She was a medal winner at the World Combat Games and the World Games and took gold at the IFMA World Championships in Greece this year. Laura was also the winner of the emmy-nominated television show Challenger Muaythai and now holds the WMC Pan American title.
Laura Stated that she has achieved all her major event goals and now has her eyes on the belt of all belts, the WMC world title belt.
