
In a thrilling tribute to Hong Kong’s historic return to the motherland, the WMC Hong Kong Championship exploded onto the scene on July 1, 2025, delivering a night of high-octane action, cultural celebration, and national pride. Sanctioned by the World Muaythai Council (WMC) and the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA), the event was co-hosted by the Hong Kong Muaythai Association and Wang Championship, drawing a capacity crowd from across the region.

Recognized by the National Olympic Committee and Sports Ministry, the Hong Kong Muaythai Association stands as the sole official Muaythai body and a longstanding IFMA and WMC member. This championship not only showcased elite competition but also underscored Hong Kong’s pivotal role in shaping the sport across Asia.

The night featured top-tier athletes from Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Macau, and Chinese Taipei, culminating in the crowning of four new WMC Greater China champions across key weight divisions.
