Two new Moroccan champions were crowned as Yassine Mahssoun and Hamza Rachid claimed their WMC African belts during the international sports evening held on Saturday 14th December 2024 at the boxing hall in the city of Casablanca.
Yassine Mahssoun secured the first title by defeating by KO his Senegalese opponent, Madou Ba, in the second round of their bout in the under-67 kg category. Meanwhile, Hamza Rachid won the second title of the evening in the under-69.5 kg category, defeating his Congolese opponent, Ali Kanavi, by points after the five rounds.
This highly successful international sports event, organized by the Casablanca-Settat League and the Boxing Event under the supervision of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Savate, and Similar Sports, also featured twelve other bouts. These matches brought together national champions and their counterparts from France and Belgium.
The event was attended by WMC supervisor Jens Wilke from Germany, along with several notable personalities.
