His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn has been delighted by the inclusion of Muaythai into GAISF/SportAccord. The inclusion was a historical day not only for Muaythai but also for Thailand itself.

He welcomed His Excellency General Pichit Kullavanijaya, President of SportAccord Hein Verbruggen, President of WMC General Chetta Thanajaro, President of IFMA Dr. Sakchye Tapsuan, Thailand’s IOC member Dr. Nat Indrapana and WMC Vice President and IFMA General Secretary Stephan Fox to his palace.

He thanked the GAISF/SportAccord President for his support for having included Muaythai. He then urged the WMC and IFMA leadership to continue to work hard in order to foster and promote Muaythai not just as a combat sport but as a cultural art form; and to continue to strive for excellence and move forward to get Muaythai recognised by International Olympic Committee.
