Muaythai Australia, the solely recognised Muaythai federation in Australia under the presidency of Nick Atkins continues to develop muaythai on all levels from grassroots to the elite.

Channel 7, one of the biggest news stations and the Sunshine Show show which is one of the most watched TV shows in Australia featured muaythai in the programme as it is one of the faster-growing sports in Australia.

President Nick Atkins had the chance to outline the future vision for Muaythai Australia from now to the dreams of the new generation for Brisbane 2032. He further outlined the important relationship between Muaythai Australia and IFMA as the world governing body recognsied by the National Olympic Committee. He went on to dicsuss the importance of clean sport and ensuring that the Australian athletes can be part of the Olympic main frame, especially the Youth World Championships held every year in a different country.

He further highlighted the pride of Australia for winning medals at IOC recognised events such as the World Games and Australian athletes chosen to be part of the side programme of Paris 2024.

The future of Muaythai Australia looks bright with next year the national federation celebrating 30 years of membership in IFMA and the World Muaythai Council.
