The UAE Muaythai Championships have concluded, marking one of the largest Asian Muaythai championships ever held.

The final day saw a packed venue, with the VIP section filled to capacity. Distinguished guests included numerous embassy representatives and His Excellency, the Thai Ambassador, who came to support the event.

The Muaythai Tigers from Dubai secured first place, followed by Abu Dhabi Muaythai in second and the Dragon Team from Uzbekistan in third. The Iraqi Muaythai Federation also delivered an impressive performance.

A special highlight was the youth division (ages 10–17), which served as the official qualifier for the IFMA World Championships, set to take place in Abu Dhabi from 10–20 September. The competition ended with standing ovations and emotional moments, reflecting the pride and dedication of the athletes.

The event also showcased the bright future of Muaythai, with traditional disciplines such as Waikru and Mai Muay receiving well-deserved appreciation.

Held under the full patronage of the UAE National Olympic Committee, the Sports Ministry, and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the championships demonstrated the growing strength of Muaythai in the region. The UAE Muaythai Federation, under the leadership of His Excellency Abdullah Al Neyadi, played a pivotal role in the event’s success.

Now, all eyes turn to the IFMA Youth World Championships, where young athletes will proudly represent their nations in the colours of their National Olympic Committees at this IOC-recognised event—the pinnacle of youth Muaythai competition.
