Celebrations were in order in California at the Burbank Marriott Convention Center as Habibullah Nazari became the new USA WMC Champion in the Super Featherweight division. The victory took place at the WCK Full Muaythai Rules event entitled Matter of Pride, which featured some of America’s top athletes alongside rising stars.
One of the two national championship bouts on the show featured Habibullah Nazari facing off against Jeremy Sanchez. The bout was a contender for Fight of the Night, and after five intense rounds of Muaythai action, Habibullah had his hand raised in victory, with the championship belt strapped around his waist.
Habibullah thanked his opponent and team, stating it was an honor to share the ring with them. He also expressed gratitude to USA Muaythai for making it all possible and to the WMC for bringing Muaythai back to the United States with such an amazing show. Of course, he also gave a big thanks to WCK Muaythai and the entire team for the opportunity and for being a consistent platform for American Muaythai for so many years!
