The Muaythai family proudly welcomes His Excellency Darm Boontham, the newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to Canada a true friend of Muaythai and a long-standing supporter of our global movement.
His Excellency previously served as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he worked in close cooperation with the national federation and IFMA, strengthening Muaythai’s international presence and its role as a bridge between cultures.
Canada holds a special place within the Muaythai family. As one of IFMA’s founding members, Canada Muaythai remains among the leading federations, under the respected leadership of Director of Sport and Heritage Ajahn Suchart Yodkerepauprai and President Alin Halmagean.
During a recent joint meeting, important discussions took place focused on the continued development of Muaythai in Canada, in close cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy and the Kingdom of Thailand. The meeting reflected a shared vision to strengthen cooperation, expand grassroots initiatives, and create new opportunities for youth and athletes.
With strong foundations in place, this new chapter brings exciting prospects. From development programmes to cultural exchange and international events, many important and inspiring projects lie ahead.
Muaythai continues to unite nations — and with this renewed partnership, the journey in Canada moves forward with strength, respect, and shared purpose.
