There is a new King of the North: Andreas Lilliecrona became the new WMC Nordic Champion on Saturday at Westcoast Battle 17. The fight took place at Arena Varberg in Sweden as part of the main event, which saw one of Sweden’s own face off against Denmark’s Fredrik Broberg, the reigning Danish IFMA Champion. The event was sanctioned by the WMC and the Swedish Muaythai Federation, Sweden’s sole IFMA member.
The bout started at a fast pace, with an electric atmosphere in the arena as the Danish fighter Fredrik came out strong and took the first round. After a talk with his corner and a few strategic adjustments, Andreas came out firing in round two, taking control and winning the round. Finally, in round three, Andreas caught the Danish fighter with a flurry of punches, resulting in a TKO. He was then crowned the new WMC Nordic Cruiserweight Champion.
