The next four days will see the Boulevard Pavilion in Melbourne bring together Australia’s finest athletes in a powerful celebration of sport, culture, and unity.

The Australian National Championships is one of the most important events on the national calendar.

Muaythai Australia is the sole recognised Muaythai organisation under the banner of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations, the IOC-recognised governing body for Muaythai, as well as the World Muaythai Council.

This is not just a competition; it is the gateway to representing Australia officially and an opportunity to compete in global events under the framework of the Olympic movement.

The 2026 edition is organised by Muaythai Victoria, as the event moves from state to state, and Victoria is ready to welcome athletes from all Australian states. Audiences can expect not only high-level bouts, but also the rich cultural traditions of Muaythai, including the Wai Kru and Mae Muay, honouring the heritage and values that define Muaythai as both a sport and a cultural art form.

Nick Atkins, President of Muaythai Australia, stated that Muaythai Australia stands for inclusion, non-discrimination, and unity. Established over 30 years ago, the organisation will continue to foster and promote Olympic values.

Sy Nadji stated that Melbourne is proud and honoured to host the National Championships: “We are ready to welcome athletes, officials, and supporters from across our nation, standing united through Muaythai.”

Melbourne is ready. Let the warriors rise.
