This fighter is young, hungry, bold, and to achieve her dreams, she will make big ripples in the expansive world of Muaythai.

Eunicka Costales is a nak muay, representing the Philippines and the Muaythai Association of the Philippines (MAP), who has made her presence known in the amateur Muaythai scene. She is making her WMC debut in a bold manner by competing for the WMC Asian Bantamweight Title at the WMC10 event in Singapore. Before we go in-depth about her upcoming bout, let’s pay some respect to her humble beginnings in Muaythai.

Eunika took up Muaythai to improve herself via the physical and mental challenges that comes with the martial art, but the amateur circuit was also tough, which helped her grow and gain experience. To compete in the amateur scene, she developed her fighting style to be composed, utilizing clean techniques. This resulted in her receiving a bronze medal at the 2024 Asian Open Cup Invitational, becoming a multiple time national champion, and receiving many medals from local competitions. Now moving onto the next stage of her Muaythai career, she is improving her pacing and developing a strategic mind more geared for professional bouts.

Now Eunicka has the chance to show the evolution of her Muaythai style in her debut fight against Ginny Teo, someone she admires and honored to share the ring with, for the opportunity to be hailed as the new Asian bantamweight champion. She acknowledges that fighting for the title is a big step in her career, and it motivates her to push herself even harder. As a nak muay, Eunicka desires to proudly represent her country, and the WMC gives her the platform to not only do just that, but also reach her dreams. In order to see her aspirations follow through, tune in on March 7th to see who will become the victor in her debut fight!
