BREAKING NEWS: Australia’s own Chadd “The Shark” Collins is set to defend his WMC Super Lightweight World Title at Infliction 37 on August 23rd. The bout will take place at the prestigious Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.
Born in Queensland, Chadd has spent extended periods training and fighting in Thailand. With 72 fights and 21 knockouts to his name, bringing a wealth of experience to the ring.
Chadd originally claimed the championship title with a valiant win over Thailand’s Fah Likit Lukmahathat. After the fight, he stated:
“Ever since I was a little kid growing up in Australia, WMC was the governing body everyone looked up to and wanted to be part of. Now at 28, with 74 fights behind me and on my second attempt, I’m over the moon!”
“Winning this belt was a lifelong dream. I watched my Australian idols—Soren, Daddy Cool, Tomahawk, and Wayne—achieve theirs. It’s always been my goal.”
“What I achieved on Saturday night was a dream come true. WMC was the big one when I was a young fella growing up in Australian Muaythai—and now I proudly hold it too.”
Chadd will now move forward with his first title defence, with his opponent to be announced shortly, and we are looking to watching another epic performance from the champ.
