IFMA Announces Athletes for Upcoming World Games in Chengdu
The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) has unveiled the first batch of athletes selected to represent their respective countries, gyms, families, and themselves at the upcoming World Games in Chengdu, China, scheduled from August 7th to August 17th. Notably, Muaythai will feature prominently in its third edition after being included in Poland, with the USA securing a solid position within the sports lineup.
Posthumous Honor for Ashley “AK-47” Nichols
In a heartfelt tribute, former IFMA world champion, the late Ashley “AK-47” Nichols of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nations, has been posthumously inducted into the 2025 North American Indigenous Athletics Hall of Fame in the Athlete category. Nichols was celebrated for her formidable presence in the ring and her unwavering dedication to both Muaythai and MMA, leaving a lasting legacy beyond her impressive fighting record.
Coordination for IFMA Senior World Championships
A successful coordination meeting was held between the European Muaythai Federation of IFMA and the Turkish National Federation to organize the upcoming IFMA Senior World Championships, taking place from May 31st to June 10th. All arrangements were confirmed to be satisfactory, ensuring a smooth and competitive event.
