Lausanne, Switzerland – 27 October 2025
The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) proudly congratulates its Secretary General, Mr Stephan Fox, on his unanimous re-election as President of the Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS) for another four-year term.
The AIMS General Assembly took place at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, bringing together the leaders of international sports federations recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and SportAccord.

The Assembly was honoured by the presence of IOC President Kirsty Coventry, who delivered an inspiring address emphasising unity, equality, and collaboration across the Olympic Movement. President Coventry commended AIMS and President Fox for their continued partnership with the IOC and their commitment to promoting inclusion, gender equality, and non-discrimination in sport.

Under Stephan Fox’s leadership, AIMS has become an integral pillar of the Olympic family — uniting more than 20 international federations that are striving for IOC recognition and ensuring that all sports are represented with fairness, transparency, and integrity.
In his remarks following re-election, President Fox expressed his gratitude to President Coventry and the IOC for their trust and cooperation, pledging to continue strengthening the bridge between the Olympic Movement and the AIMS member federations.
“This re-election is not about one person; it represents the collective spirit of unity within AIMS. Together, we will continue to promote the Olympic values through inclusion, respect, and solidarity, ensuring that sport remains a force for good in the world,” said Fox.
Fox’s dual leadership roles — as IFMA Secretary General and AIMS President — symbolise the strong connection between Muaythai and the wider international sporting community. Through his vision and advocacy, Muaythai has emerged as a model of integrity, inclusivity, and social responsibility, reflecting the very principles AIMS stands for.
Under his stewardship, both IFMA and AIMS have championed initiatives in youth empowerment, gender equality, athlete safeguarding, cultural exchange, and education through sport, further reinforcing their shared mission of using sport as a tool for positive social impact.
The IFMA family extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr Stephan Fox and the entire AIMS leadership team, wishing them continued success in guiding the AIMS family toward a stronger, more united, and more inclusive sporting world.
