With heavy hearts, the IFMA Family joins the Palestinian Muaythai Federation in mourning the tragic loss of Ammar Hamayel, a beloved athlete, teammate, and inspiration to so many. Ammar was killed in yesterday’s violence in the village of Kafr Malik, Ramallah.

Ammar represented the Palestinian national team with distinction for over four years, earning national and international accolades. More than his titles, he was known for his unwavering dedication, warm smile, and deep love for Muaythai—a passion he held since childhood. He was a blossoming champion, always bringing spirit, humility, and hope into the ring.

The IFMA Family sends our deepest condolences to Ammar’s family, friends, teammates, and the entire national federation. We honor his memory and the legacy he leaves behind as a young athlete who dreamed of becoming a world champion. His smile and spirit live on in our hearts and in the memories we carry forward in his name.

In these deeply painful moments, we stand united in grief and solidarity with the Palestinian Muaythai community. Ammar will never be forgotten.
