Mexican athlete, Laura Burgos came away from Greece with a gold medal during the IFMA Senior World Championships in the 54KG division on Sunday. The competition headed to the birthplace of the Olympics for the 2024 Championships which ran from the 31st of May to the 5th of June.
Laura is a multiple-time IFMA national champion and took silver at the World Games in 2022 and the World Combat Games in 2023. This was the first time Laura received gold at the World Championships, a feat not achieved by the faint-hearted easy across the multi-day competition.
Laura is the perfect example of how hard work pays off and from all at the WMC we would like to congratulate her on this amazing victory.
