Saturday the 20th of November in Tashkent, Uzbekistan was a night to remember as U1 Muaythai Championships graced the city with an evening of elite-level muaythai. The show boasted an all-star international lineup with the world’s best coming to challenge Uzbekistan’s finest.

The headline fight of the evening saw Lukáš Manďo Mandinec from Slovakia take on “Muhammadi “Jojo” Jahongir from Uzbekistan for the WMC Intercontinental Super-Lightweight title (63,5 kg). This was a very close fight but a knockdown in round 4 for Lukas sealed the fight and allowed him to take the belt back to Slovakia.

The coach of Lukáš Manďo Mandinec, Tomas Tadlanek stated that “I am very happy for this result as it is a very valuable title. Lukas worked so hard, not just for this fight but his whole career to win something big like this, the WMC Intercontinental Title. Now he will be forever written in Slovak Muaythai history. I am very proud of him.
