On February 28 at The Tapestry in Cambridge, Canada, the World Muaythai Council crowned a new 67kg Pan-American Champion as Brazil’s Matheus Silva defeated Canada’s Santiago “The Colombian Style” Reyes by TKO (low kicks) in Round 5 at BLOODLINE XII.

Reyes, the reigning WMC North American Champion, began sharply, using his speed and technical combinations to energize the hometown crowd. But Silva remained composed and methodical, targeting the lead leg from the early rounds.

As the fight progressed, Silva’s powerful low kicks began to take effect, slowing Reyes’ movement and limiting his offense.

In Round 5, Silva sealed the victory with a low kick that dropped Reyes. Unable to continue, the referee waved off the contest.

With the stoppage win, Matheus Silva becomes the new WMC Pan-American Champion, marking a major achievement for Brazilian Muay Thai and a statement victory on the international stage.
