In 2019 Abu Dhabi was the centre of muaythai in Asia and this year it will be the centre of the world. UAE has been given the rights to host the IFMA world championships.
It is every UAE athlete’s dream to represent the UAE wearing the national colours and be part of the national team to march in the arena on June the 5th at the opening ceremony.
The last 3 days have seen the qualification bouts. The arena, Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel, was packed to the bursting point with representatives from the Royal Family, the National Olympic Committee and the Sports Council coming to cheer the athletes and the pride of the Emirates.
Congratulations to the UAE muaythai federation under the chairmanship of H.E. Abdullah Al Neyadi and the Executive Director Tareq Al Mehairi and congratulations to all the qualified athletes.
