Earlier this month, Buenos Aires, Argentina, hosted the 26th South American Muaythai championship. The event was organized by the Federacion Argentina de Muaythai (FAM) at the Sarmiento Park Stadium.

More than 400 athletes from all over South America were present at the event. Muaythai athletes, coaches, officials and fans from Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, and Argentina came to the event and filled the stadium to capacity.

The event was an all-day event, starting at 9am with fights going in on three simultaneous rings. 11 belts were were awarded to athletes from the Class A Amateur division, and 2 belts were on the line for two tournaments in the South American 60kg Title and and a super four tournament for the South American 71kg Title.
