The German Muaythai Bund is one of the oldest IFMA muaythai federations and it was a day and a night to remember.
There were some world class performances with Aldo Leone from Pro Fighting Lampertheim vs Anuchon Sor.Jitphakdee from Thailand with 5 rounds of world class muaythai and a split decision going to Germany and a rematch already in discussion.
One of the highlight fights was between Emilie Bach and Gwen Marie Zelic which was not only world-class muayuthai but also the Wai Kru performed by these females showcased the important cultural elements.
It was the evening program and a gala with many stories told from the last 40 years and everyone bowed down to the President of MTBD, Detlef Turnau for all the work that was done.
There were so many celebrities, including the mayor Martin Mertens, the famous Joey Kelly and the list goes on.
It was certainly also the time of honoring the great achievements of the MTBD leadership Alexander Dibaba and Marcos Klimschia, Jen Wilke, Yousef Yaqoub and the list goes on.
IFMA Secretary General was there in person to present the IFMA Golden Mongkon to MTBD and Detlef Turnau and a toast to 40 years more.
