Friday December the 15th in the Alamaeda County Fairgrounds, California saw the second edition of Triumphant Muaythai Series. The event which is sanctioned by the WMC featured a full fight card with homegrown athletes from the States alongside top international athletes.
The main event of the evening was between Gaston Bolanos and Turan Hasanov who went head to head for the 147 pounds/66.7kg Welterweight WMC MAD title. After what was deemed the fight of the evening it was Bolanos who went home victorious.
The CEO of Triumphant Muaythai Series, Geoff Quares stated that muaythai in the USA is becoming more popular as a spectator sport. Following the success of the previous show we decided to bring even more to the table for this event and it paid off. We have 8 events planned next year so 2018 is already shaping up to be a good year for the sport in the US.
