The 24th of July in the beautiful city of Brescia, Italy will welcome an evening of muaythai action of the highest calibre. The event which is sanctioned by the WMC will feature a solid card with some of the best Italian fighters competing on their home turf for bragging rights.

The main fight of the evening will be for the WMC European title between Alex Avogadro from Italy and Manuel Gomez from Spain set at 61.22 KG (Light-Weight division). The fight was originally scheduled for April but was delayed due to Covid restrictions so both fighters have been in fight camp for over 6 months and stated they are more than ready.

IFMA Executive Board Member and WMC Italy Coordinator Davide Carlot stated that muaythai in Italy is on the rise with more and more people taking up the sport not only to fight but also to achieve fitness goals. We have many shows planned over the forthcoming months so 2021 is shaping up to be an exciting year for muaythai in Italy.
