Friday, the 4th of April, proved to be an important day in the Muaythai calendar as Superstars Event 7 took place at Pavilion Josephine in Strasbourg, France, with a prestigious Muaythai gala. The event was sanctioned by WMC France and FFKMDA, IFMA’s sole French member, and it certainly did not disappoint, featuring a full international card of elite-level Muaythai bouts.

The main fight of the evening was for the Light Heavyweight world title (not more than 81 kg), with Frenchman Bilal Bakhouche-Chareuf facing off against Aaron Ortiz from the USA.

The Frenchman Bilal Bakhouche-Chareuf became the new WMC World Champion, winning by unanimous decision in a highly competitive fight, adding the world title to his European and Intercontinental belts.

In a remarkable act of respect, the American Aaron Ortiz chose to enter the ring to a song by famed French Singer Edith Piaf. It was a nice technical fight between two gentlemen of the sport. The first two rounds were close, but in the 3rd round, Bilal took over with clearer, harder strikes, asserting dominance over the final rounds. Both displayed high-level athleticism and exceptional sportsmanship, making it a pleasure to watch two experts at work.

Congratulations to both Nak Muays for this magnificent fight, and congratulations to the new champion!
