Here are some of the highlights from this past Sunday, and the fiery IGNITION event which took place in Perth:

Kate Heuston V Pimchanok Ruamgwong (Winner Kate via TKO)

Kate proved to be too strong for Pimchanok, from Round 1 landing heavy hand shots and leg chops. She continued the power drive into round 2 with hard low kicks, finally stopping Pimchanok via TKO.

Millad Farzad v Sangpetch (Winner Millad via points)

Millad started the bout with winning in mind, never giving Sangpetch the slightest chance to settle. In the 1st round Millad landed big leg kicks and sharp elbows in the grapple. Evens so, it was a very close battle, with  both fighters giving the Perth crowd a great display of Muaythai techniques, keeping the audience twitching. Sangpetch tried to put Millad off his game with some clever antics, but Millad stuck to his game plan and kept pushing forward, keeping Sangpetch on the back foot for most of the rounds, and finally wining via points. This was Millad’s first victory over a Thai with great experience, and he has shown that he is definitely an up-and-coming fighter to keep an eye on in the future.
