On Saturday March 2nd, professional Muaythai returns to Calgary with Journey Fight Series IX.
The event will also mark Team Smandych’s 2nd annual fundraiser event for breast cancer: $5 from each ticket sold will be donated to research. Last year over $5,600 was raised, and this year’s goal is to raise $8,000!
The main event of the evening will feature “Shotgun” Sean McKinnon vs. Shane “Shaolin” Campbell for the WMC 160lbs North American Muaythai Title and their share of the $20,000 prize money for making it to the finals of the 8-man tournament.
The under card will be packed with exciting match-ups featuring some great female Muaythai: Jessica “Thumper” Gladstone, Melissa Reaume, Shauna Flynn, Janice “The Beast” MacAulay and Kelsey Andries.
