It is with profound sadness that IFMA has learned of the passing of Ashley Nichols.

Ms. Nichols will leave an undeniable mark on the global muaythai community as one of the most outstanding IFMA champions.

As a female athlete, she broke barriers, inspired aspiring fighters and showcased that skill knows no gender. Ashley’s legacy extends beyond the ring, she will not only be remembered as a formidable fighter but a trailblazer who paved the way for future generations in the world of muaythai and combat sports, especially as an active leader of her Native Chippewa Heritage inspiring her community and especially the youth.

Her contribution to the art and sport of muaythai which she loved immensely will leave a legacy behind which will support and inspire generations to come.

IFMA expresses its deepest condolences to the Nichols’ family and friends, the Canadian and world muaythai community.

As a mark of respect, the IFMA flag will be flown at half mast for the next 3 days to come.
