Battle of the champions took place on Friday in Moscow with the show being a great success. Headlining the show was a scheduled super fight for the vacant 69.84 kg Super Welterweight WMC Intercontinental Title between Masoud Minaei from Iran and Artem Pashporin from Russia.
Due to a broken arm in training Artem Pashporin was unable to fight but luckily Magomed Zainukov stepped in to take his place. The bout began with fireworks from both sides but ended in round 2 due to a perfectly timed elbow thrown by Zainukov cutting above the eye of Masoud with the referee stopping the fight.
The WMC would like to congratulate Magomed Zainukov on becoming the new Intercontinental champion and also thank Masoud for his incredible performance.
