April 4th in Pattaya was a night to remember for Muaythai fans as the MAX Muaythai 4 man tournament held the centre stage. 4 top Muaythai athletes from their respective countries came together in a super 4 tournament for the 62kg Silver Belt. The winner of the belt will face off against the winners of 3 other super four 4 tournaments for a grand prize of 1 million baht and the Gold MAX Muaythai Championship belt.

The 4 man tournament featured WMC Champion Mathias Gallo Cassarina (Muay Farang Gym) from Italy, verses a technical Issam Arabat-Ziane from France in the first qualifying bout. The second qualifying bout featured Thai WMC Champion Puenyai Payyakkampan, facing off against Russia’s Ruslan Berdyev.

Italy’s Mathaias and Thailand’s Puenyai both advanced to the face each other in the final bout after hard-won, highly entertaining bouts against their respective opponents. The final between Mathaias and Puenyai was an electrifying back and forth battle of technique and skill with Mathaias stopping Puenyai in the second round to win the MAX Muaythai Silver Belt.
