The Moroccan Muaythai Federation which is fully recognised by the National Olympic Committee and Sports Ministry organised the official qualification for the IFMA Youth World Championship 2024 held in Bangkok.

In total, over 2,000 youth from over 200 clubs participated in the overall championships which outlines the popularity of muaythai and that muaythai in Morocco is very safe. The event was presided over by His Excellency the Thai Ambassador to Morocco Abderrahim Rahhaly which started with a minute of silence for the late President of the Moroccan Muaythai Federation, Mr Abdul Karim Al Hilali.

The final of the event saw 480 athletes from 102 clubs competing for their ticket to Bangkok.

The youth showcased all aspects of muaythai with beautiful Wai Khrus and in the end, sadly there could only be one winner in each division but all of them are true champions and ambassadors. The event also featured the Mae Muay Wai Khru competition for the World Championships.

The President of the African Muaythai Union and IFMA Vice President Mr Driss El Hilali showed how proud he is of the talent of the youth which is due to the close cooperation between the Moroccan National Muaythai Federation, the Sports Ministry, the African Muaythai Union and IFMA, the world recognised federation.
