The Uzbekistan Muaythai Federation, recognized by IFMA, the world governing body of Muaythai and the Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee and Sports Ministry, hosted a spectacular Muaythai Cup for senior and youth divisions from July 16-21, 2024.
Over 2000 spectators were in attendance to support and cheer the over 500 athletes participating in this impressive event including many VIPs. Jamshid Bekmurodov, Secretary General of the Muaythai Association of Uzbekistan, Gulomjon Murodkhojaev, Deputy Governor of Namangan region, Anvarjon Otakhodjaev, Mayor of Namangan City, Anvarjon Tuychiev, Head of the regional Sports Department and Azizbek Tashmatov, Chairman of the Youth Union of Namangan region were all in attendance.
This regional competition was held in the highest IFMA standards, keeping athlete health and safety of utmost priority.
The final day celebrated a night of professional fights with the winners of the competition awarded with valuable prizes.
Congratulations to the Muaythai Association of Uzbekistan on a very successful event to further develop the art and sport of Muaythai in Uzbekistan and the Asian region.
