Dhaka, Bangladesh – On Friday, June 27, the heart of Dhaka came alive with the thunder of Muaythai as the highly anticipated Double Horse Knockouts (DHK001) took center stage at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center. Sanctioned by the World Muaythai Council (WMC) and the Bangladesh Muaythai Association—the sole IFMA member in the country—the event marked a historic chapter in the nation’s sporting journey.

The evening showcased a full international fight card, bringing together rising grassroots talents and some of Bangladesh’s most accomplished fighters in a thrilling display of strength, spirit, and sportsmanship. Spectators were treated to electrifying bouts that celebrated the art of eight limbs in its purest form.

Event promoter Yasin Nazel Islam expressed his pride in what DHK001 represents for the future of Muaythai in Bangladesh. “It’s time to showcase to the world what Bangladesh has to offer. Our pride, grit, and glory have long yearned for a platform—and now, we’re building it,” he said. “DHK001 is just the beginning and the first step towards the next generation of Nak Muays.”

Indeed, for the first time, Bangladesh welcomed elite-level fighters from across the globe, standing tall as a new destination for international Muaythai. The night not only highlighted athletic excellence but also symbolized unity and the power of sport to transcend borders.
As the final bell rang and the crowd roared in applause, one thing became clear—Bangladesh has arrived on the global Muaythai map, and this is only the beginning.
