Some positive news was revealed this week as the world title fight between Myriame Djedidi from France and Funda Alkayis from Turkey has been reconfirmed.
The date was originally set for April but due to Covid 19 was put on ice. September the 26th has now been confirmed with the French Sport Authorities
Myriame is the current WMC intercontinental and 2 time WMC European champion as well as an IFMA gold medalist. She became the Intercontinental champion following a valiant performance against Canadian athlete Yumiko Kawano from Canada in what was an epic battle.
Funda Alkayis is the champion of Turkey and an IFMA medalist who fights for Glory. Funda’s reputation in both amateur and professional muaythai allowed her to be head-hunted by Nike in order for them to sponsor her.
This should be a great fight and the whole muaythai community is looking forward to see these two ladies go head to head.
