Sunday July 9th in the beautiful city of Yekaterinburg, Russia will see an evening of Muaythai to commemorate the ongoing Japanese and Russian diplomatic relations. The event will feature some of Japan’s finest warriors going head to head with local athletes who are all hoping to go home victorious.

Martial arts have long played a part in both of the countries national identity so the event will not only showcase Muaythai but also help further promote the culture and traditions of both countries.

Dimitri Putilin, President of the Russian National Federation stated that they are honoured to host an event of such high calibre and with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in attendance the event is sure to go down in the history books.
