One of the most famous, jet-setting, high-society places in the world will be the centre of the muaythai world on August 4th. Promoter Olivier Muller, in cooperation with the World Muaythai Council (WMC), the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA), have put together a truly promising fightcard.

The event is also in cooperation with the Peace & Sport campaign, under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, and the Muaythai & UN “UNiTE to End Violence Against Women” campaign. The Thai ambassador to France His Excellency M. Apichart Chinwanno, will be representing the Kingdom of Thailand, while Mr Joel Bouzou, the president of Peace & Sport, will be there in person.

Olivier Muller, the president of the Swiss Muaythai Network stated that a lot of planning has gone into the event, which has the full support of Brigitte Bardot and her Foundation.

Muaythai, which has won the 2014 SportAccord Spirit of Sport award, will also feature a special female fight which will be taking place to promote the campaign of WMC & IFMA with UNiTE.

IFMA General Secretary and WMC Vice President, Stephan Fox stated that the event is a fantastic follow up to last month’s event in Monaco, the Monte-Carlo Fighting Masters, which was under patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. The event is a great promotion for muaythai as a cultural heritage, exciting ring sport, and the social contribution the sport makes to society.

IFMA Sport Director, Charissa Tynan, who will be representing muaythai and UNiTE’s End Violence Against Women campaign in St Tropez stated that she is really excited that the campaign will be officially launched later in the year, starting off with a bang in Mexico, and that she is honoured to be in Saint-Tropez for this world class muaythai event.
