On the 10th of November, the capital city of Denmark, Copenhagen will stage the Annual Nordic Championship 4-man event.  This time it will be a pre-qualifier for the SportAccord Combat Games 2013.  The concept is that every Nordic country will send one champion and the winner will be crowned the WMC Nordic Champion.

Soufian Touti, a local favourite from Copenhagen will be fighting for Denmark, while from Finland, the multiple Finish champion, Jukka Kyynäräinen will be fighting.  Representing Sweden will be fighter Alexander Arutyunyan.  Soufian, Jukka and Alxander are all former IFMA Nordic Champions, this year will see if a new champion will be named.  The final competitor in the 4-man tournament is Allan Wold, fighting for Norway.  Allan has fought at both Lumpinee and Rajadamnern in Bangkok, Thailand.

This event shows again how important the grassroots are in Muaythai and the cooperation between the world governing body for amateur Muaythai, IFMA, and the world governing body for professional Muaythai, the World Muaythai Council (WMC).

A special thank you must go to the Nordic organizations for hosting this event.  Good luck to all fighters!
