Andy Howson, a man that needs no introduction in the muaythai world will make a return to the ring on April 28th after retiring in 2015. Also know as ‘The Punisher’ and ‘The Lord of War’ he has made a name for himself as one of the most fierce fighters in the 55kg Bantamweight division, never failing to put on a good show.
Hailing from the Bad Company gym in Leeds under trainer Richard Smith, Andy is know for his aggressive style and never give up approach to the sport which have earned him a number of titles including the WMC Intercontinental and WMC MAD title.
Aside from been a fighter Andy also has own show entitled HGH promotions which he runs in collaboration with his cousin Liam Harrison another living legend and pioneer of the sport.
Andy Howson stated “6yrs ago I headlined the 3rd instalment Of HGH Promotions taking on and defeating a tough Swedish fighter Viet Hoang in a great fight. In 9 weeks time I return to headline the show yet again and it will be my first fight in Leeds in 10yrs . Fight camp begins properly today, 9 weeks is a long one but I’ve not fought for 3yrs and I want to be over prepared for this. My fight style changed in the last few years & had to fight more clever looking to score more than anything else due to injuries etc. I’m bringing back the madness 28th April and this fight isn’t going the distance I’ve a point to prove. Don’t miss it, by far the biggest and best HGH fight card to date!”
From all at the WMC we would like to give Andy a warm welcome back into the ring and we look forward to seeing him in action!
