The 2024 Pan American Muaythai Championships took place this weekend as a pivotal moment in the sport’s history, bringing together the finest athletes from 16 Pan American nations to compete on an elite stage. With muaythai working towards full inclusion in the Pan American Games, the championships, organized by Muaythai Canada, symbolized the strength and growth of the sport across the region.

The crowing point of the event was a WMC world title fight between the USA’s Tierra Brandt and Canadian fighter Taylor McClatchie in the Featherweight (57 kg) division.

Both fighters gave it their all from the first bell showing extreme determination and heart and the full arsenal of muaythai weapons.

At the end of the five rounds, the decision went to the judges score cards announcing a unanimous decision and New WMC Featherweight World Champion! Tierra Brandt.

Congrats to Tierra and her team on becoming the USA’s second WMC world champion!
