Representatives from over 50 countries gathered for the WMC Representative Meeting to plan and shape the international Muaythai calendar for 2026 and beyond.

The World Muaythai Council (WMC), established in 1995 under the directive of the Royal Thai Government, has cooperated with the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) since 1996. In 2014, the WMC received Royal Patronage and formally merged with IFMA in 2019. This unification ensures a clear and inclusive pathway for athletes—whether competing in Olympic-recognized events or fighting for the prestigious WMC belts.

For 2026, more than 400 events are scheduled across all five continents, organized through the 156 national federations. These events will range from national and continental competitions to intercontinental and world title fights.

Four major events are slated to take place between October and December, with a major press conference scheduled for the end of July to announce further details.
