Anaelle Angerville is one of few athletes taking a chance of gaining a direct qualifier for The World Games 2021 in USA.
The games are now a year ahead and the race for the points is getting ever tougher with IFMA holding world and continental events in so many parts of the world.
France already secured its representation in Birmingham with Anaelle Angerville winning the gold medal at the Arafura Games 2019.
Annaelle has become one of the leaders of the French team and will be a strong contender for gold at the World Games. The Arafura Games 2019 in Darwin, Australia became the golden event for Annaelle for at least two reasons. The gold medal of the games was crowned by the direct qualifier for The World Games 2021.
The current record of the French athlete is truly impressive considering the number of top athletes in her 57 kg division. In 18 bouts Annaelle only has 2 lost bouts with the final of the World Muaythai Championships in Bangkok against the Russian Maria Klimova. This will truly be a rivalry to follow throughout the upcoming years as now the score between France and Russia in 57 kg is equal. Anaelle was stronger two years ago in Mexico.
So far the world championships gold is a cherished aim for Anaelle and this year she can fully focus on achieving this aim feeling no pressure from the World Games qualification.
