It was a night to remember in Singapore as World Muaythai Championship, 2023 Pro Series 2 took place which was sanctioned by IFMA and the WMC. The event boasted a full international line-up with a WMC MAD title on the line as well as a Super 4 Tournament held at the D’ Marquee venue in, Downtown East.
Competing for the WMC MAD title in the lightweight division was Enzo Petricig from France vs Wan Mee Chai from Thailand. The fight began with a brisk start with the man from France coming out on top with a TKO win over Thailand’s Wan Mee Chai.
The Super 4 tournament was one of the highlights of the evening which featured two Malaysian fighters against 2 Singaporean fighters as follows: Ke Hao Xun (Singapore), Mohd Fazzatkie (Malaysia), Angus NG (Singapore), and Luqman Lais from Malaysia.
The first fight saw local lad Ke Hao Xun from Singapore face Mohd Fazzatkie from Malaysia. What a fight this was with Mohd delivering a master class, stealing the win, and proceeding to the next round.
The second fight saw Angus Ng from Singapore face Luqman Lais from Malaysia. Another exciting fight with Angus heading into the final.
With the final showdown upon us, it was down to Mohd Fazzatkie from Malaysia and Angus NG from Singapore to determine the winner. After 3 solid rounds, it was the hand of Angus from Singapore that was raised much to the delight of his many fans in the crowd.
Another spectacular event from the guys in WMC Singapore so congratulations are in order and we are looking forward to the next event!
