March 9th, 2017 saw an evening of Muaythai in the wonderful city of Saint-Priest, France featuring international bouts with some of France’s top fighters.

The highlight of the evening however was the anticipated bout between Yassine Hamlaoui (France) and Karolis Buslys (Lithuania) for the WMC European light weight title 61.22 kg, With Yassine taking the win and becoming the new champion.

Promoter Yohan Lidon stated that at the moment Muaythai in France is stronger than ever before and is continuing to go from strength to strength. With athletes such as Fabio Pinca beating the top level Thais at the sport  as was seen when he took home the Rajadamnern title in February, it is safe to say the future of the sport looks bright.
