A new WMC intercontinental was crowned on Saturday at Fight Clubbing 35 in the Pala Giovanni Paolo ii Arena, Italy. The show did not disappoint with a solid undecard and massive main card fights sanctioned by the WMC, IFMA, and Federkombat.
The main event saw Yodpt Petchrungruang from Thailand go head to head with the Italian Valerio Ghionna in an intercontinental bout set at 61.2KG. The fight started off fast paced with both fighters landing shots across the first two rounds.
In round 3, Yodpt landed a perfectly timed knee scoring a knock down which took the wind out of the Italian fighter. Valerio showed the heart of a lion and got back up to continue the fight but his corner however could see that he was not himself and threw in the towel in the interest of the safety of their fighter.
