On April 18th, the Villejuif Boxing Show delivered an electrifying evening of elite muaythai, as the prestigious WMC MAD Bantamweight (54kg) title took center stage in Villejuif, France. With the belt vacant, anticipation was high for the clash between France’s Valentina Simanikhina and Austria’s Ana Lisa Rubner—two determined athletes ready to seize their moment on the international stage.

The event, showcasing the very best of French talent, once again highlighted the depth and quality of muaythai in France, a nation renowned for producing world-class fighters. Sanctioned by WMC France in collaboration with FFKMDA, the sole French member federation of IFMA, the night upheld the highest standards of professionalism and global recognition.

In what proved to be a highly competitive and engaging contest, both fighters displayed heart, skill, and determination. Simanikhina rallied strongly, finding success during key exchanges and energizing the home crowd. However, Rubner remained composed and consistent throughout, answering every challenge with precision and resilience.

After three intense rounds, the bout went to the judges’ scorecards, where Ana Lisa Rubner emerged victorious by split decision (2 judges to 1), claiming the WMC MAD Bantamweight (-54kg) title.
